IBM DevOps Deploy - Overview
The IBM DevOps Deploy plugin for DevOps Velocity synchronizes applications, processes, components, versions, snapshots, teams, environments, and more from IBM DevOps Deploy. A Deploy application can be configured as an application in an DevOps Velocity pipeline and the IBM DevOps Deploy processes can be configured in the DevOps Velocity pipeline. The DevOps Velocity Pipeline can then display the latest version of the application deployed to different environments.
Compatibility
The IBM DevOps Deploy plug-in requires DevOps Velocity version 2.3 or later.

In this version, there is no need to manually add the automatedTaskRunner to the UCD server. This enhancement simplifies scheduling deployments and auto-promotion by reducing manual intervention.

In this version, the automation task execution mechanism has been updated. Previously, tasks were completed during the sync event. Now, tasks are completed during the execution of the automation task itself. This change provides precise user feedback to the DevOps velocity and speeds up execution. Additionally, a new parameter called ‘Build Polling Timeout’ has been added to the plugin. This parameter indicates the ‘Length of time (in minutes) to wait for the build to complete if the task is set to wait.’ Users can customize the ‘Build Polling Timeout’ as needed. Furthermore, a wait property has been introduced. By default, this wait property is set to true when a task is added, indicating that the plugin will wait for the build to complete. If explicitly set to false, the plugin will not wait for the build to complete.
